Performance Experience: I have played Alto Saxophone for the Pennsylvania All State Band and Pennsylvania All State Jazz Band. I sang tenor for the Pennsylvania All State Choir. I played snare drum for the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, bass for Resistance Indoor Percussion. I played snare for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps and Pulse Percussion.

Teaching Experience: I have taught at Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps while composing with them. I have also taught private lessons with Parker Music Academy.

Teaching Philosophy: When it comes to my students and my teaching I like to have fun and make sure students are learning and getting better. Yes. I teach music but I believe there is so much more to it then just music. I want the students to feel welcome and know that its ok to make mistakes and that we will get them better at their instrument.

Get to know Eli Undercofler

Eli hails from Port Allegany, PA where he started his music journey. He started his journey in elementary school learning vocals, saxophone, and percussion; originally being self taught in percussion. In high school, he played saxophone for the Pennsylvania All State Band and Pennsylvania All State Jazz Band. He also sang tenor for the Pennsylvania All State Choir. He has quite the experience in teaching, composing, and performing. After serving a contract with the United States Navy, He returned to music in 2022 composing for the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, Resistance Indoor Percussion, and Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps as well as teaching private lessons and teaching Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps. He is currently studying Music Education and Business Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
