About Emily Skelly

I started piano lessons at six years old.  I joined band class when I was nine and started playing the flute.  My mother finally allowed me to quit piano lessons after my seventh grade year.  When I was in high school I was singing with the highest chorus in the school, playing oboe and flute in the band, playing mellophone in the marching band and trying to learn and play everything I could!!  I also started playing piano accompaniment with my friends and in the jazz band.  I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's of Science in Music Education (Instrumental).  I taught middle school band for four years, middle school band and strings for a year and a half, general music for a year and have subbed and taught lessons ever since I was nineteen years old.  I love any and all types of music and I love sharing that with my students.   

  I am married with three kids.
