About Jeannie Woelker

Hello!

I am Jeannie Woelker, strings instructor. I’ve been teaching strings for over twenty years. I am a certified Suzuki instructor and teach violin, viola and cello using both Suzuki and traditional methods. I earned my degree from Stony Brook University and also attended Boston Conservatory and CW Post College. 

I’ve taught students from age two to adults and I structure lessons for the individual needs of each student. With the aim to create a nurturing and positive environment for learning a string instrument I am encouraging and patient. I like to make it fun to build skills at any level. 

I have coached several string ensembles and I am the director of the East End Arts Orchestra/Perlman Music Program collaboration. I perform regularly with my family in the Cottage Trio; Basically Baroque; Suono Duo; and The Hidden City Orchestra, where we performed at the Sacred Sound Music Festival in Assisi, Italy.
