Performance Experience: He has an extensive resume of live performance and studio recording experience in both Canada and the United States. His percussion experience includes a host of funk, pop. rock, fusion, prog, latin jazz, and metal gigs. He currently performs with a jazz band here in Middle TN.

Teaching Experience: He taught kids in Canada for years prior to moving to Middle TN, and is well-verse in drum set, mallet technique, concert percussion, and marching percussion. He also teaches piano, specializing in pop and jazz genres.

Teaching Philosophy: Félix prioritizes two main things with each of this students: sightreading and improvisation. He believes in the student-first approach, in which he tailors a learning plan specifically to the students needs and goals.

Félix Munger comes to Music & Arts from Québec, Canada! He has a Bachelor of Music in Interpretation of Popular and Jazz Music from Université Laval in Québec City. He is also an active musician around Middle TN. He currently plays in a jazz band with Miranda Powell, one of our fantastic piano teachers at store.

Félix is open to work with beginners as young as five years old, and can teach all advanced levels for percussion and piano.
