About Frances Prager-Zarragoitia
Get to know Frances Prager-Zarragoitia
Frances was born in Havana, Cuba to French and Cuban parents. She grew up in a musical house speaking French and Spanish at home. She picked up the violin at 8 years old and has studied between Cuba and The U.S. ever since. From Allstate orchestras to youth orchestra concertmaster to the Luzerne Music Center in Albany, New York, Frances' musical journey has offered her many diverse opportunities to learn, teach, and perform. Most recently, this journey has culminated in a bachelors in Music Therapy from the University of Georgia . She has studied with Arianna Ochoa, Ricardo Ochoa, Sinisa Ciric, Levon Ambartsumian and Shakhida Azimkhodjaeva. Thanks to the Music Therapy department, Frances also teaches piano, guitar, and singing.
