About Frederick Greene

I am a professional pianist and educator. I graduated from PGGC with an Associate degree of Music, specifically piano. I also studied jazz piano at UMBC. 

Piano students can expect to improve in their piano technique. We will set goals and work week to week to accomplishing them. Music can be difficult to learn therefore as a teacher my goal is to make sure your having fun. We will work hard but have fun doing it! 

I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical, jazz, and gospel piano for 19 years. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student. I also can teach students the skill of playing by ear. Expanding our song choices to unique areas such as video game themes, tv shows, anime, etc.

My personal passion is jazz and gospel music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
