given her a well rounded performance base of various genres of music.
She has been taught by many of the great instructors such
as, Mary Lacy Moore, who was a great sacred and classical music
teacher and John Malichi, one of the great jazz pianist of all times. She
was accepted in the Fine Arts based high school in Washington D.C. in
the arts program at McKinley Senior High school and went on from
there to Major in Music at Howard University of Washington D.C. . She
was the first female admitted in the Jazz Studies program by auditioning for the founder of the program, Author Dawkins. While in college
she began recording in New York for Vanguard Records. It was there

United Artist Productions. One of her songs reached as high as #25 in
the United States on the Bill board top 40.

various churches in the area. She has built many programs and has
been a consultant for various church programs, performing and conducting as well as arranging music in the scared form.
She also has taught High school music for 13 years with a
great love to pass on the knowledge and opportunities that she has
been afforded to others. She has a vast knowledge of music theory,
digital music and keyboard application for piano. She has created her
own approach to teaching piano through a computer approach but also
uses standard piano approaches as well. Her philosophy; ear training,
sight reading and harmony analysis will give the student a firm foundation in music, but having fun while doing it is best!
She has attended Howard University for Post graduate
work in the field of Jazz performance for piano and voice. She continues to teach music in the Virginia Beach area.
