About Gary Wade

Gary Wade is a native Houstonian and 20 year resident of Cinco Ranch who brings 35 years of professional guitar playing and teaching experience to the Music Arts Katy location. He is a founding member of the award-winning band Beat Temple (Yamaha Soundcheck Finalist 1991; Best New Artist – Houston Press; Best Funk Bank – Houston Press) and continues to perform to this day. Gary has shared the stage with artists such as Parliament-Funkadelic, Ohio Players, Bootsy Collins, Robert Palmer, Fishbone, Wang Chung, and D’Angelo to name a few.

Gary is an avid fan of all types of music and styles of guitar playing, from Country to Metal, Punk to Blues, and all points between. He is not only passionate about teaching fundamentals but also embracing the reasons why a student decides to pick up an instrument in the first place. Whether a student wants to become the next Taylor Swift or to form a band with their friends, he can help them get started on their journey. Gary can also help students craft their own sound, providing guidance on how to get the most out of their instrument and equipment.
