About George Calhoon

George is a percussionist, pianist, and audio engineer with over 56 years of performance experience. He has been teaching since 1980 and has studied at Georgia State University, Emory University, and Julliard in Boston. He has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Symphony. He is proficient with drum set, snare drum, mallet percussion, piano, and recording/audio production, with experience in Protools, Ableton, Logic, Florida Studio, and Studio One. He can teach all genres, from classical to pop to jazz to rock and more, with emphasis in theory, sight reading, and technique as well.
