Performance Experience: I have enjoyed over 10 years of playing as a multi-instrumentalist with classical, jazz. Latin, pop, and rock ensembles.
Teaching Experience: I have lifelong experience sharing my passion for both math and music. I love teaching all ages and stages of musicians (and mathematicians)!
Teaching Philosophy: My focus lies in cultivating the fundamental skills of musicianship—reading, critical listening, and technical proficiency. These skills serve as the bedrock for our students to develop their own creative musical voices. I firmly believe that every student can achieve success through persistence, patience, and a positive attitude. I strive to simplify problems, providing practical solutions that cater to each student's individual challenges.

Tutoring math since 2007 and teaching brass lessons since 2011, Guy has a passion for helping others improve their abilities and overcome challenges.
He has been fortunate enough to credit his success to wonderful teachers like Sam Pilafian, Dr. Matt Tropman, Dr. Aaron Tindall, Velvet Brown, Calvin Jenkins, and Tim Conner.
While his main instrument is Tuba, Guy performs and teaches all of the brass instruments.
