Teaching Philosophy:
Art is the most common form of expression. Writing music, teaching and inspiring. Music can speak in ways that we can't always find the words for. Writing music and playing instruments has been the foundation of my life for years. It's left me with not only a catchy song to listen to, but life lessons. One person cannot explain the important impact of music. Teaching is a way to teach others to love and appreciate music in a life-changing way.

Get to know Hailey Leonard
Hailey Leonard started learning violin when she was in 4th grade, piano in 5th, and guitar in 6th. She graduated from Winters Mill High School in Westminster.
She is very accomplished in the orchestra and choir ensemble at her school.
In orchestra, she was selected for All County in Carroll County Junior and Senior year. She did solo and ensemble Sophmore year, earning an excellent rating in a quartet, a superior rating Junior year doing a violin duet, and Senior year earning a superior rating doing a violin duet. Senior year she also went to states for solo and ensemble after qualifying, earning an overall superior rating. She also went to Maryland State Orchestral Music Assessments with her high school orchestra senior year, where they earned an excellent rating.
Hailey was a student aid for the freshman orchestra class her Junior year, and an intern her senior year for the instrumental program at her old middle school. Hailey also spoke at the Board of Education meeting in Carroll County in order to better accommodate the schedules of the instrumental departments class abilities.
In Hailey’s high school choir, she was selected for Eisteddfod for Carroll County senior year. She also had a duet during the spring concert of her senior year which received very good reactions and views on her music Facebook page.
Hailey has been playing paid gigs, currently playing at least one show a month, and even performing more exclusive gigs for solo musicians. She recently played at The Ladybug Festival. She also played at a young musicians night and will be performing as a finalist at the Kennet Flash music competition in August of 2024.
Hailey is continuing her music education at Carroll Community College, and is planning on transferring to Towson for her bachelor’s degree.
Hailey has always had a passion for helping young musicians thrive, starting with helping aid a previous class of freshman in orchestra, and now teaching private lessons here at Music & Arts.
