About Harrison Melancon

My name is Harrison Melancon. I am a music education student at LSU in my last year of study. I have been playing trumpet for around 12 years. In my time at LSU I have had the opportunity to play in the wind ensemble, symphonic winds, multiple chamber groups, and The Golden Band From Tiger Band, including 2 years as one of the trumpet section leaders in the marching band. Over the years, I have had a wide variety of teaching experience, working with schools from multiple schools around the state including St. Amant, Dutchtown, and Central Lafourche among others. I have taught private lessons for about several years now and many of the students I have worked with have gone on to make honor bands and some have gone on to study music themselves. I am incredibly excited to continue teaching and performing for years to come.
