Get to know Heather Pereira
My name is Heather Pereira, and I am beginning my third year of teaching music. I currently teach at William A. Carter Elementary School in the Enlarged City School District of Middletown, New York. I earned my bachelor’s degree in music education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and will graduate with my master’s degree in music education from the University of Florida in December 2025. Throughout my education and teaching experiences, I have developed strong pedagogical, musical, and performance skills that continue to shape me as an educator. At this early stage of my career, I am proud of the teacher I have become and look forward to growing even further over the next thirty years.
