About Hyewon Yoon
Get to know Hyewon Yoon
Hyewon Yoon received her Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Maryland, School of Music in College Park. She received a diploma in violin from the Bruckner-Konservatorium Linz in Austria and as well as her bachelor degree in violin performance at the Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea.
She has received numerous awards such as the Orchestra Assistantship from the University of Maryland, the Ewha Scholarship from the Ewha Womans University in Seoul.
Dr.Yoon has versatile career as soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, orchestra musician and teaching artist.
She was a member of the Seoul Sinfonietta and served as the associate principal at the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra. She has had many solo recitals and chamber concerts in America, Asia and Europe.
In addition to her performance career, she had taught at Seoul National University of Education, University of Seoul, the Chadwick International School Songdo, Korea and was a visiting professor of Chungn-Ang University.
Currently Dr.Yoon is a Music Director of non-profit organization in Maryland.
