      Teaching Philosophy: I believe that music is a life long journey of learning. I tailor each lesson to the students interests and needs to be not just proficient in their given instrument but a well rounded musician for life! A positive and safe environment are paramount to learning and expressing ones self through music!

      Ian Paul Johnson teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, and piano, offering personalized lessons designed around each student’s goals and musical interests. His lessons include structured warm-ups, review, and new material, helping students build strong technique while staying engaged. Ian enjoys teaching styles like jazz, blues, and rock, while also incorporating music theory, reading, and songwriting to support well-rounded growth. His patient and encouraging approach helps students develop confidence, creativity, and their own unique musical voice. Ian has over 5 years of teaching experience, along with performance experience at festivals and local venues.
