Get to know Jack Felts
Jack grew up in Baltimore County and has been living there his whole life. He started playing music at 7 years old, where he enrolled in weekly private lessons learning drum set. His passion for playing behind the kit eventually transitioned into Elementary, Middle and High School percussion, where he participated in each schools' top concert bands. After graduating from Loch Raven High School, Jack attended Towson University, achieving two degrees: one in Classical Percussion Performance and another in Instrumental Music Education. During this time he consistently performed in Towson's top Concert Band and Orchestra as well as the TU Percussion Ensemble.
Jack has had many opportunities teaching and performing alongside students of all ages, both in classical percussion and drum set. His experience in classical percussion is coupled with a vast drum set experience, having played music from the likes of Green Day, Shinedown, ACDC, Def Leopard, Ozzy Osbourne, Earth Wind and Fire, and more.
Jack will be attending The University of Delaware in pursuit of a Master's degree in Percussion Performance starting in the Fall of 2024.
