About Jacob Armstrong

Jacob Armstrong is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger originally from Texas. Jacob's musical journey began at the age of 8 when he first developed an interest in guitar. Growing up, he was immersed in a diverse array of musical genres, including Gospel, Rock, Country, and Jazz, which shaped his versatile style. After gaining proficiency in jazz and classical music at Temple Junior College in Temple, Texas, Jacob continued his education at the University of North Texas, deepening his jazz expertise. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jacob received an exciting opportunity to join Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America Cruise Ship out of Honolulu, HI, where he performed as a guitarist and later took on the role of music director. For four years, Jacob toured the world aboard cruise ships, playing a wide range of music genres, including Top 40, Rock, Jazz, Pop, Funk, and R&B, among others. After years of adventure at sea, Jacob settled in Denver, where he shifted his focus to teaching. With a wealth of experience and a deep passion for music, Jacob is committed to guiding his students along their own musical paths, imparting the skills and knowledge he has cultivated over the years.
