About Jasmine

Jasmine Han is originally from South Korea and started studying clarinet at the young age 12 years old, soon after she began performing in The Sin Chun Youth Orchestra. Jasmine received her Bachelor of Music degree from Chung-Ang University in South Korea. While studying in school, she performed as a clarinetist at Seoul Festival Orchestra for 2 years. During this time, she performed various music genres beyond traditional classical repertoire. After graduating college, she decided to study abroad and decided to come to the United States to pursue Master’s degree program in 2007 where she studied with Kathy Pope and performed in various ensembles at the University of Utah. In 2009, Jasmine Han moved back to Seoul, South Korea after she got master’s degree, and worked at several schools as a clarinet instructor. Jasmine while teaching found happiness with her students but wanted to study more for her career. She came back to the United States in order to study more and she is currently pursuing a teaching certification in music education at University of Houston.
