About Jason Gardner

First and foremost, I'm a lover of all genres of music and truly enjoy helping others reach their goals in learning to play guitar. I began playing guitar, singing, and writing songs at a very early age. I was blessed to have the opportunity to learn from and work with many skilled and accomplished guitarists, songwriters, performers, and musicians. As a young teen I began performing professionally, by the time I graduated high school I was performing on electric and acoustic guitar all across the southeastern United States with a couple of bands I created, as well as working with other bands on vocals and bass guitar. I also toured as a solo acoustic singer/song writer. I later received a music scholarship to Northeast Mississippi Community college where is studied commercial music business and was a vocalist, guitarist, and bassist for their band. I began teaching guitar at Meridian Community college for College for Kids summer program while attending college and continuing to perform as much as possible. After several years of teaching the summer program, I was hired to teach continuing education classes for children and adults at Meridian Community college. I also currently teach guitar classes at a local private elementary school. I taught private guitar lessons to children and adults for about 13 years at Mississippi Music Inc. In Meridian and I am delighted to now teach private lessons for Music & Arts.
