Education: Bachelor of Music from Ithaca college. Studied classical guitar under Pablo Cohen and jazz guitar with Steve Brown. Graduated summa cum laude.
Performance Experience: Performed with many different acts over the years. Genres include jazz combos and big bands, classic rock, alternative rock, Celtic, bluegrass, and pop rock music as well.
Teaching Experience: Twenty-five years teaching experience. Started at the Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts back in 1998 and have worked in many other studios since. I have been with Music and Arts since 2008.
Teaching Philosophy: As all students have different backgrounds and goals with music, my instructional style is tailored to the individual. Learning and instrument can be a lot of hard work, but it needs to be fun too. Therefore, I try to focus on working on the right balance of an individual’s strengths and weaknesses to keep things fun!

I have been teaching music for almost
25 years and love the unique experiences with all of my students!
I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca college where my main focus was classical guitar, jazz guitar, and piano. Along the way and over the years I have enjoyed playing a variety of musical styles from jazz to rock and bluegrass in several bands.
Teaching is a great passion of mine, and I always look forward to working with people of all ages and backgrounds!
