About Jen

Jen Phipps is a guitar, bass, and ukulele teacher who creates personalized lessons that help students build confidence, strong musicianship, and a lifelong enjoyment of music. She teaches beginner to advanced guitar, beginner to intermediate bass, and beginner to intermediate ukulele, incorporating technique, music theory, ear training, improvisation, songwriting, and a wide range of styles including classical, rock, blues, metal, jazz, country, pop, and folk. Jen believes every student learns differently and tailors each lesson to individual goals, interests, and learning styles while fostering a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, performances, or simply learning favorite songs, students receive practical guidance designed for lasting success. Jen holds a degree in Guitar Performance from Minnesota State University and brings over 20 years of teaching, touring, and recording experience to her lessons.
