Jeremiah has performed over 30 solo pieces since he began playing trombone. He has performed in trios, octets and choirs since undergrade.

Get to know Jeremiah Roper
Jeremiah Roper teaches beginner to advanced brass, helping students develop strong fundamentals and a confident, musical approach to playing. His lessons incorporate long tones, scales, lip slurs, articulation, music reading, theory, aural skills, and repertoire for school band and All-State preparation. Jeremiah explores orchestral literature, marches, lyrical playing, range development, tuning, and advanced techniques such as double and triple tonguing. He encourages students to consistently strive for their best sound while recognizing that progress comes through effort and repetition. Jeremiah holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Trombone Performance from the University of Texas at Arlington and has taught trombone since 2017.
