Hey there! My name is Jim...
I have extensive experience teaching all ages from 9 years to 60 years, beginners through advanced. I have a demonstrated ability to instruct those with limited musical ability to achieve a goal beyond their expectations. My method of teaching consists of reading notation as well as incorporating finger exercises, scales, beginner & advanced chord forms and rhythm exercises. During these lessons I incorporate songs that mirror their progression. I also conduct ensemble classes to give students the experience of playing in a structured group. Teaching all genres, Blues, Rock, Jazz, Country etc.
