About John Hulley

John Hulley has been a professional musician in the Richmond area for over 10 years. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Classical Guitar Performance from Virginia Commonwealth in spring of 2011, John has been performing trombone with Richmond's own No BS! Brass as a permanent member as well as a touring member of national acts Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens. He also leads the helm of Brunswick, a 13 piece modern jazz ensemble from Richmond that he performs and composes for. John has also shared the stage with other national acts such as The Shins, Lucius, and Lettuce. As an educator John has taught private lessons on Trombone and Guitar as well as assisted Low Brass instructor at local Richmond High School Marching Bands.
