About John Spangenberg

John Spangenburg is a woodwind, brass, and string teacher who works with beginner to advanced students on flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, French horn, tuba, violin, viola, and cello. His lessons focus on developing strong tone quality, endurance, technique, and musical confidence while providing personalized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals. John combines a calm, encouraging teaching style with a sense of humor that helps students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn. He regularly creates customized exercises to strengthen specific skills and works closely with students on band and concert music to support their success in school ensembles and performances. John holds a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University, completed graduate music studies at Villanova University, and brings over 35 years of teaching experience throughout the Philadelphia region.
