About John Zydel

Hi, my name is John Zydel and I have over 40 years of experience playing Guitar (Electric) ,(Acoustic) , (Classical) and also Bass Guitar.  I have been teaching for over 29 years and have helped hundreds of students in all skill levels, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced achieve their goals of learning how to play. My dedication, true love of music and flexible teaching style are some of the key's to helping my students succeed. My professional playing experience was playing lead guitar for the Shea Brothers Band for 10 years. We were a top 40 Rock band that played 3 -4 nights every week throughout New York State. We had a professional music booking agent,  JR Productions, locate and schedule the band for shows.  My musical taste ranges from Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, Easy listing, and Pop. I can tailor my teaching ability to your specific interest in what style of music that you like. From there I will put together a plan for you to follow each week when we meet for our lesson. It will always be a fun, yet informative lesson every time. A beginner will learn the basics first, notes, some easy chords and how to tune your guitar. Intermediate players will learn more chords, notes, scales and songs. Advanced players will learn more scales, modes, picking arpeggios, advanced songs and more.
