Get to know Jordan Barnett
My name is Jordan Barnett, I am from Dacula, Georgia. I am a recent graduate from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music focused on Piano, although I also play two other instruments. I have been involved in music since I started playing drums at 3 and playing piano 2 years later, at the age of 10 I began playing bass guitar. In 7th grade, I began playing the bass for my school’s jazz band and praise and worship and stayed with it until I graduated. In my sophomore year of high school, I joined the marching band playing Bass drum and joined the snare line a year later. That next year in the praise and worship band I played bass as well as acted as Musical Director and keys player for some of our performances. My favorite genres of music to play are the styles of Jazz and Gospel music, while I love learning the history of all kinds of music and the theory behind the most famous compositions. Being a multi-instrumentalist, I had a lot of experience in performing a multitude of ensembles, in a wide range of ensembles and genres including, in show choirs, Gospel Choirs, and rock and pop groups. Through those groups and my study of composition, I became involved with instrumental arranging of bands and work closely with the leadership of choirs, as well as composing and directing various pieces for those ensembles. I have a wide range of experience with Music Technology, having worked as a producer and recording technician, having recorded, mixed, and edited a multitude of pieces for various artists and projects. I have also composed and produced my music under the name CJ Arc.
