About Joseph Devizio

Education: Masters Degree from Montclair State

Performance Experience: I play with various combinations of musicians from around the tri-state area on a regular basis. My passion is playing chamber music. Chamber music is music for 2-9 musicians. For many years I was a member of the Bergen Philharmonic based in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Teaching Experience: since 1979

Teaching Philosophy: My job as the teacher is to teach everyone as an individual. There are so many variables in each students abilities. We must identify and work on the students strengths and weaknesses. The student needs to be reassured that they can succeed at their chosen instrument if they are willing to work with a purpose.
