About Joshua Rorrer

Joshua Rorrer is a saxophone, flute, and piano teacher who helps students build strong musical foundations through a balanced approach to technique, theory, and musicianship. He teaches beginner to advanced saxophone, beginner to intermediate flute, and beginner piano, drawing from his experience in jazz, improvisation, composition, and classical music. Joshua believes that strong teacher-student relationships lead to more effective learning, and he tailors lessons to each individual’s goals, interests, and learning style. Whether preparing for auditions, recitals, school programs, or simply playing for enjoyment, students receive supportive guidance and practical instruction designed to foster confidence and growth. Joshua holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from East Carolina University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Jazz Composition.
