Teaching Philosophy:
My philosophy for trumpet is based on the teachings of Bill Adam. This focuses on developing a player's individual sound through modeling, rather than focusing on the mechanical aspects of playing. We achieve this by vividly imagining our sound, and studying the work of current and past "greats". From this, we arrive at "our own" signature concept of sound that is well-defined. We try to achieve this whenever our horn is on our face. You must "pay you dues," and allow the process to happen.
