Teaching Philosophy: Music enriches a person's life no matter their talent or ability. A person can perform to the level of being a "professional musician" or to the level of being a "music appreciator". Both are admirable and either path brings about fulfillment and enrichment. My goal is to help you find your individual musical path.
Get to know Katherine Sanders
Katherine grew up in Central Texas and began playing cello at the age of eight, studying at Baylor University during during her High School years. She attended the University of Texas in Austin for her Bachelor and Master Degrees. She is recently retired from the Parkway School District after 33 years of teaching orchestra. Katherine is married to a fellow musician who has been a member of the Utah Symphony and the Saint Louis Symphony. They have two adult children and two amusing rescue dogs. Favorite activities are gardening, walking dogs, hiking, traveling, and performing in musical groups.
