About Katherine Wright

Hello, my name is Katherine Wright. I have a Bachelor of Music degree and I have been playing the flute since age 10. I have performed with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, the Desert Winds, the Nevada Pops, and the CSN Community Wind Ensemble where I play both flute and piccolo. I have also performed with the Sirocco Flute Choir and the UNLV Flute Choir where I play flute, piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute.

I utilize both Suzuki and Traditional methods to accomplish my teaching goals with students. I have a background in the Suzuki method where I focus on nurturing my students in a positive environment as a teacher and a mentor. My goal is to help inspire and encourage my students to reach their potential as a flute player. I believe in taking the time to understand what the student needs to develop, whether it is their tone, phrasing, musicianship, musicality, technique, etc
