Teaching Philosophy: I aim to inspire each student to grow both technically and artistically. I encourage students to view music as a language to understand and express. I focus on building foundational technique while allowing space for exploration, emotional connection, and genre flexibility. I tailor my lesson to their individual learning style, interests, and goals. Lessons should spark curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love for music—leaving students feeling empowered and excited to keep learning.
Get to know Kayla Roth
Hi! I’m Kayla Roth, a lifelong musician originally from Long Island, NY. I began studying piano and voice in 2011, and music has remained a central part of my life ever since. From choir solos to rock bands, from jazz to gospel, I’ve experienced the power of music across a wide range of genres.
Since middle school, I’ve served as a student leader in multiple music programs, from choir president to rock band leader. Now a student at the University of South Carolina, I’m pursuing a Music Industry Studies degree with a minor in Event Management, and continuing to explore the intersections of performance, education, and creativity.
