About Kellen Maples

Kellen Maples teaches saxophone, clarinet, and general woodwinds including recorder and ocarina, guiding students from beginner through advanced levels with a thoughtful, structured approach. Their lessons focus on building a personalized “practice toolbox,” helping students develop strong fundamentals, independence, confidence, and the ability to self-assess their own playing. Kellen works across classical, jazz, blues, and rock styles, blending technique, theory, and real music into every session. They create a supportive space where students grow musically while developing focus and self-reflection skills. Kellen holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from UT Tyler and is pursuing teacher certification.
