About Ken Wilson

Ken Wilson has been performing and teaching music in southern New Jersey for over 25 years. Some groups performed with include; The Mudsharks (Pop/Funk/New Wave), The Blue Sky Trio  (Jazz), The Bubba Mac Blues Band (Blues), Yo’ Mon (Reggae), and his current band, Ocean Dawn Patrol (Pop/Reggae/Surf & more). During this time, Ken has taught consistently at some of the area's top studios, music stores, as well as Stockton University. 

Ken’s teaching style is highly individualized and places a strong emphasis on the fundamentals of music. This includes; developing proper technique, reading (standard notation and tablature), rhythm, music theory and more. Each student is encouraged to progress at their own pace in a wide variety of musical genres which are chosen together. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

Ultimately, the goal of each lesson is simply to help a student take the next step on their own musical path, all while learning, improving and having fun!
