Performances

I have been performing since 1981 for theatre shows, rock bands, jazz, R&B, Circus (Great Wallendas), swing bands, American Entertainment Productions show band (One year), and performed with Holland America Cruise Line for three (3) years. I’ve performed with Matt Snow, a Frank Sinatra style show (live and with tracks) around the Cincinnati area. I’ve also performed Musicals throughout out, i.e. Sinclair College, jazz bands, as well as Church music in the Ohio region.

Some drumming influences are from Alex Acuna, Dave Weckl, and Dany Gotlieb, and other Pop Rock, Funk and jazz music inspirations.

I have been teaching drum and Percussion since 2004, both privately and for local studios, offering all styles.

I attended Wright State University for two (2) years, and then transferred to Belmont University to receive a Bachelors of Music in Percussion Performance. In 2019, I finished an Online Masters in Jazz at University of Arkansas (Monticello). I also hold a Masters of Music from Eastern Kentucky University. Studying at the Eastman School of Music to learn Creative Music Making and African drum studies, this week long summer encompassed these classes and have benefited my creative styles. Lastly, I attended the University of Dayton for Percussion, Music Technology, & World music, and Samba schools in Salvador/Rio, Brazil for Samba studies.

Composition

I have been writing music since the 90’s, recording, music production (Logic Pro X, Dorico Pro, etc.) and advising others within the music industry.

· Writing music and collaborating with NY couple doing EP (6 instrumentals); music production in Logic Pro & recording drums/percussion (2023)

· Music Placement: Drum music into Gin Wells short Movie, entitled, “Legends of Takawa”

· Music Placement: Text from Russell Landwehr – an engineer I co-wrote Village Paint: “VICE News Tonight on HBO used it for nearly a minute in one of their episodes”

· Four (4) Instrumentals released through DistroKid ( Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify) and Copywritten while submitting tune’s Metadata to BMI and the MLC.
