About Kevin Allen

Kevin L. Allen is a piano and voice teacher who works with beginner to advanced piano students and beginner to intermediate voice students in a structured and supportive learning environment. His lessons combine sight reading, ear training, music theory, technique, and musicianship while adapting to each student’s experience level and musical interests. Kevin emphasizes a growth mindset, believing that every student can succeed through consistent learning and practice. While rooted in classical training, he encourages students to explore a variety of musical styles and regularly provides performance opportunities through biannual recitals. Kevin holds degrees in Music Education and Piano Performance from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Norfolk State University, and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, and brings decades of teaching and performance experience to his students.
