About Kevin Nunez Alejandro
Get to know Kevin Nunez Alejandro
Kevin began studying the Double Bass at 16 and graduated from the University of North Texas with his bachelor's degree in music studying under Jeffery Bradetich and Gundrun Raschen. Originally Kevin during High school had no plans to major in music as he wanted to be a Dentist or Engineer and was trying out career paths. Eventually, he started lessons for Double Bass lesson at the age of 16 and at the age of 18 realized he was going to pursue music as a career.
During his studies, he taught lessons for Carrolton Famers-Branch ISD for 3 years with students winning the regional orchestra competition including principal positions. He has also worked with String Project as a student teacher under the direction of Elizabeth Petersen teaching Orchestra and Violin, Viola, and Cello lessons.
On top of teaching, Kevin is the Principal Bass of the Texas Millennial Orchestra and Chorus performing at the Dallas Myerson and regularly performs with the Arkansas Symphony as well as the local regional orchestra. Kevin has also performed internationally in Canada with the PRISMA Orchestra in the summer and studied with Dylan Palmer (Principal of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra)
During Kevin's free time, he spends time with family and friends and participates in some of his hobbies outside of music such as going Hiking, Swimming, Trying out new food, Video Games, Board games.
