Performance Experience: Kristen has played in a flute choir for many years, expanding her expertise to alto flute, bass flute and piccolo. She also played flute and piano for drama productions in the area as well as being music director for Calvary Christian Academy’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.

Get to know Kristen Harris
Mrs. Kristen Harris has been teaching both piano and flute lessons privately for over twenty years. She graduated from Temple University in 2004 with a bachelors degree in music therapy with a concentration in flute. She has played in a flute choir for many years, expanding her expertise to alto flute, bass flute and piccolo. Her flute students have been very successful, playing in regional and state band, as well as making it into college music programs. She played flute and piano for drama productions in the area as well as being music director for Calvary Christian Academy’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. She also played in her church’s band, playing for thousands of people weekly. She has also taught piano to many individuals with special needs over the years. She has taught many styles of piano over the years including classical, jazz and rock.Her teaching philosophy is that music is therapeutic and that it is beneficial for anyone and everyone. She uses lessons as a medium to help each student in their journey through life and as a way to achieve their goals
