About Kyle Myers
Get to know Kyle Myers
Kyle began his musical journey singing in elementary school choir and the district-wide honor choir. He went on to play violin in middle and high school orchestras, as well as string bass and bassoon in the high school band. Throughout high school, college, and beyond, he performed in orchestras, musicals, and opera productions with school and community ensembles.
An avid performer, Kyle has appeared with orchestras throughout Louisiana, including the world premiere of Keith Gates’ opera Evangeline in Lafayette. He spent many seasons as a violist with the Symphony of Southeast Texas and later the Temple Symphony. Today, he continues performing with the Williamson County Symphony—initially as second bassoonist and currently as principal bassist—while also conducting several selections each season.
A theatre enthusiast, Kyle has directed two stage musicals and performed several significant on-stage roles. Despite his love for theatre, his first passion has always been musical instruments, a passion he enjoys sharing with students.
