About Laurie Mangold

Laurie Mangold is a flute and guitar teacher who creates personalized lessons that balance strong technique with creativity and enjoyment. She teaches beginner to intermediate guitar and beginner to advanced flute, tailoring each lesson to the student’s interests, goals, and experience level. Lessons may include music reading, instrument technique, songwriting, rhythm guitar, and musical expression across styles such as classical, jazz, pop, rock, and folk music. Laurie encourages students to build confidence through performance opportunities while developing the skills needed to enjoy music for a lifetime. Laurie studied classical flute through the applied music program at Brown University and has been teaching and performing throughout the U.S. and Europe since the 1990s.
