      Get to know Leah Streety

      Leah Streety is a passionate violinist and dedicated educator, currently pursuing her Master of Music in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy at The Hartt School of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Texas at Austin and has performed in masterclasses with esteemed artists, including Emily Cole, the Miro Quartet, and the Verona String Quartet. In 2024, she served as Concertmaster for the Butler Opera Center Orchestra.


      Leah has extensive teaching experience, working with students of all ages and skill levels. She previously taught at Suzuki Violinists of Western New York and the University of Texas String Project, where she led group and private lessons. Beyond private instruction, she has served as Co-Director of Youth Activities for the Ode to Joy Festival and worked as a teacher counselor at the North Carolina Governor’s School West.


      With a strong commitment to fostering musical growth, Leah creates customized lesson plans to engage students, helping them build confidence and perseverance. She is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians through thoughtful and effective instruction.
