      Get to know Leighann Howland

      Leighann has been studying violin for over 15 years. Leighann is currently attending Nazareth College pursuing a Music Performance degree. She is inspired by all genres of music such as Rock, Classical, Pop and Country. Leighann is a musician for and sings in the Ultimate Zac Brown Tribute Band "UNCAGED". Leighann has traveled to Pennsylvania to study with David Kim at Cairn University and perform Wieniawski violin Concerto No. 2 in d minor. She has been a Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra member for 6 years and plays in her community and hometown Genesee Symphony Orchestra as well as her college orchestra where she was the Concerto Competition winner. Leighann enjoys performing for events, weddings/gigs, creating crossover music and arrangements and playing music in church. She performed a David Bowie fundraiser concert creating the music for violin. Leighann has earned an associate degree from Genesee Community College. In Leighann’s free time, she enjoys drawing and figure skating. She is happy to nurture and encourage students’ creativity along their musical journey!
