Teaching Philosophy: I believe everyone can learn to love music. The more you know about music, the more you appreciate it. My experience in Education has taught me not only what to teach it, but how to teach music in different ways to meet the learning needs and goals of my students. I have learned that students' interests are also a key part of the learning process. My goal is to be both practical and personal in my teaching process, and to make music enjoyable for my students.
Get to know Linda Belden
Linda has had a lifelong experience with music. At age 3 she first started singing, and began piano lessons and choir in the 3rd grade. She went on to play the violin from 4th grade through the end of high school, and picked up some guitar skills in college. Linda taught Elementary Music for 15 years and has been a substitute teacher for over 10 years. She has directed children's choirs as well as the World Music Drumming ensemble. She enjoys sharing her love of music with a variety of ages, from small children to senior adults.
