Teaching Philosphy: I believe everyone can learn to love music. The more you know about music, the more you appreciate it. My experience in Education has taught me not only what to teach it, but how to teach music in different ways to meet the learning needs and goals of my students. I have learned that students' interests are also a key part of the learning process. My goal is to be both practical and personal in my teaching process, and to make music enjoyable for my students.

Get to know Linda Belden

Linda has had a lifelong experience with music.  She started singing at age 3, and began piano lessons in 3rd grade.  She played the violin from 4th grade through the end of high school.  She picked up some guitar skills in college.  Linda taught Elementary Music for 15 years and has been a substitute teacher for 10 years.  She has directed children's choirs and a World Music Drumming ensemble.  She has sung in choir since childhood and has shared her music with a variety of ages, from children to senior adults.  She is also a lifelong music learner, learning to play recorder and recently picking up some ukelele skills.  She has written some songs, mostly for family, and enjoys a wide variety of musical styles.
