Master Degree in Educational Administration from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa.
General Education K-12 multiple subject credential from California State University, Fullerton.
Performance Experience: University Ensembles, pit orchestra (clarinet/conductor) for many musicals, full orchestra (clarinet) for various churches.
Teaching Experience: Imperial Junior High, O.M.S.D. 9 years. Classes taught: concert band, jazz band, strings.
Elementary Instrumental Music Teacher; O.M.S.D. 28 years. Classes taught: band, percussion, strings.
Other experiences at church/private schools include: general music, children’s choir, musical theater, Chapel Director for vacation bible school (singing, skits, musical), string ensemble
Teaching Philosophy: It’s all about seeing the “light bulb” suddenly illuminate in the eyes of the students because once they “get it” there is no stopping the magic that making music will bring to them the rest of their lives.
