Performance Experience: Pianist for SWR adult Community chorus for 10 years, choir director and pianist for Mt Sinai Congregational church, pianist for Stonybrook Chorale and public school choral director and pianist for concerts and musicals. NYSSMA accompanist and local piano recitals and chamber music recitals.
Teaching Experience: I have taught in public schools, music stores and privately for over 30 years .
Teaching Philosophy: I accept all levels, ages and teach all styles of music depending on the student's interests. i teach a variety of music to foster a lifetime enjoyment of music while teaching the fundamentals of music theory and technique.
Get to know Linda Preuss
Miss LInda started playing piano at age 3 and lessons at age 5. She studied classical piano through high school and spent 7 summers studying classical piano at music programs . She played with the Albany Symphony and got a full scholarship to Boston University school of music. She finished her education at Stonybrook University in piano and was an elementary music educator in New York public schools.She is currently retired and teaching piano.
