This is Lisa Carter's 18th year teaching piano. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with the Music Teacher’s National Association. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Shenandoah University and a Master of Music degree from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
The piano is an instrument that is a lot of fun to play from the start and has the potential to give you a lifetime of enjoyment! Students attend weekly lessons where they will learn new concepts and pieces of music. Her goal as a piano instructor is to lay the foundation for students to become well-rounded musicians.
Lisa is a native of Hampton Roads. She grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia and is a graduate of Churchland High School. Her husband, David Carter, is a Senior Structural Engineer for Speight, Marshall, and Francis and her son, Adam, is the fourth grader at Strawbridge Elementary School. In their free time, they enjoy going to the beach and getting out in nature.
Lisa is currently teaching online lessons for Music and Arts. It's a wonderful way to take piano lessons either as a beginner or more experienced pianist.
