Education: Luis attended ARS Nova School of Music, studied jazz with Gonzalo Mico, Tony D'Leon, Roland Pena, and Sal Gentile; classical with Jose Salazar and Cesar Garcia. He was inspired by the groups of the 60's and 70's. His first instrument was the cuatro. He started learning music when he was 7 years old and began guitar when he was 12.
Performance Experience: Luis has performed with several groups, played latin jazz with NOva Sounds and Serenata Band, country rock with Highnoon, rock with Panama Jack and Profets of Love. Luis played with Beatles and Rolling Stones cover bands and duo with Mark Cook.
Teaching Experience: Luis has been teaching diverse genres of music, including rock, jazz, pop, funk, country, blues, latin, and classical for over eighteen years.
Teaching Philosophy: Luis's teaching philosophy is centered around focusing on different goals of each student. The reason for starting lessons is very different for each person, Luis makes sure to take that into account when he is preparing lessons. He also always makes sure to incorporate his students' taste into how he teaches them to ensure they are engaged throughout the learning process.

Luis attended ARS Nova School of Music. He studied Jazz with Gonzalo Mico, Tony D'Leon, Roldan Peña, and Sal Gentile. He also studied classical with Jose Salazar, and Cesar Garcia. He was inspired by the groups of the 60's and 70's, his first instrument was the cuatro. He started learning when he was seven years old, and picked up the guitar when he was twelve.
