About Lydia Bolmer

Lydia Bolmer is a piano teacher who works with beginner to advanced students, creating a supportive and stress-free environment where students can develop confidence, creativity, and strong musical skills. Her lessons incorporate music theory, ear training, improvisation, music reading, and weekly practice goals while exploring classical, popular, and church music. Lydia believes music is a powerful tool for self-expression and personal growth, and she also provides adaptive instruction for students with physical and developmental disabilities. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, or simply playing for enjoyment, students receive personalized guidance tailored to their needs. Lydia holds music degrees from UNC Greensboro and the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna, Austria, and brings more than 28 years of private teaching experience along with an extensive background in performance and church music.
