About Marie Moniz
Get to know Marie Moniz
Hello there! My name is Marie Moniz, and I love music! I have been playing violin for more than 20 years, and music has been an important part of my life ever since I first picked up the instrument.
My musical education includes studies at George Washington University and Brigham Young University–Idaho, where I earned a degree in science. Throughout my musical journey, I’ve had the opportunity to perform in a wide variety of settings and ensembles, including performing with numerous wedding groups. These experiences have allowed me to develop not only as a violinist, but also as a versatile musician who enjoys working with other performers and adapting to different styles and musical environments.
For the past 8 years, I’ve also had the privilege of teaching violin to students of all ages and skill levels. I especially enjoy helping students discover the joy of making music while building a strong foundation of technique, musicianship, and confidence. Whether a student is picking up the violin for the very first time or looking to improve their skills, I love meeting them where they are and helping them reach their musical goals.
Teaching music is incredibly rewarding to me because I know firsthand how much music can add to our lives. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where students can learn, grow, and develop a genuine love for their instrument.
When I’m not playing or teaching music, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and our three awesome children. I also love to travel, explore new places, and go on adventures with my family.
I’m excited to share my love of the violin and music with the community, and I look forward to meeting new students and helping them discover just how much fun making music can be!
